Food Fight

The only food fight that doesn’t mess up the kitchen! Can a hot dog top an apple? Food Fight is inspired by the classic Top Trumps card games.

The card game can be played by two or more players. The rules are simple, making it easy for the children to get started. Constant adult supervision is not necessary.

The card game can be used for educational purposes or played purely for fun. See the playing rules in the step-by-step guide.

Categories
The game has five categories from which the players make their bids, and a sixth category with information about the foods:

The categories aim to give the children an understanding of the food that they eat on a daily basis. The categories Appearance and Taste allow the game to develop in different directions so that it is not only the cards featuring healthy foods that can win tricks.

NB:

  • It is recommended that you get no more than 30% of your daily energy consumption from fat, 15% from protein and 55% from carbohydrates.
  • The stated contents of sugar, fat, vitamins and minerals are for an average product.

Educational goals
The card game provides a basic understanding of the choice between healthy and unhealthy foods. After repeated playing, the children will also learn the precise amounts of fat, sugar, vitamins and minerals to be found in different foods.
