The Extraordinary League
![]()
Based on the comic strip The Extraordinary League the children learn about healthy habits that can help to prevent type 2 diabetes.
Teaching the activity
The activity comprises three parts. Firstly, the comic strip The Extraordinary League is read. Secondly, the messages on health are discussed. Thirdly, the children are given the opportunity to be creative themselves. By letting the children produce a comic strip themselves, they are motivated to see the possibilities for creating a healthy life. Read how the activity is implemented in the step-by-step guide (PDF).
The activity lasts approx 2 hours.

Other activity suggestions
The comic strip can be used as an independent activity in connection with a presentation on prevention of type 2 diabetes.
The comic strip can also be used as an appetiser for other School Challenge activities such as Body Facts.
